Meet Your Instructor

Welcome to the AP Psychology Self-Study Hub!

Hello, I am Dr. Peizhong Li. I have created this platform to help students worldwide ace the AP Psychology exam, and to understand and appreciate the science of human behavior and mental processes.

Preparing for the AP Psychology exam can be overwhelming. The textbook is thick, the terminology is dense, and the statistical concepts can be intimidating. Through my years of teaching, I have developed a method of explaining complex theories and concepts with clear logic, real-life examples, and visual aids. This website is my way of extending my classroom to students everywhere. Whether you are reviewing for your unit tests or doing a final crash-course before the AP exam, my video lessons, study guides, and practice quizzes are designed to be your self-study companion.

The following is a summary of my professional experiences.

🎓 My Teaching Experiences
I hold a Ph.D. in Psychology from Lehigh University (PA, USA) and have accumulated extensive university teaching and research experience in North America. Currently I serve as a Psychology Instructor at Capilano University in North Vancouver. I have taught General Psychology, Social Psychology, Psychopathology, Applied Psychology and Statistics at this school since 2021. From 2004 to 2009, I served as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor and Graduate Faculty Member at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, in Menomonie, Wisconsin, USA. During my tenure at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, I received a prestigious National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to collaborate on undergraduate training in cognitive neuroscience, while conducting my own research in Social Cognition. My experience in teaching university-level statistics and research methods allows me to break down the most challenging AP Psychology concepts into clear, easy-to-understand lessons.
🔬 My Research & Professional Experience
Beyond academia, I have also held leadership roles in the global mental health and corporate wellness industry, serving as the Vice President for Strategy and Research, and Director of Research and Development for Chestnut Global Partners in China. This unique blend of academic rigor and real-world application helps me provide students with practical, relatable examples in my video lessons.
